Gosh, what a posh show - Made by Hand in Newport - a lined tent (now we are mixing with the toffs...), a stately home, carpets on the floor, and a painted shell scheme (which is not the same as a shellsuit) for our display. Definitely a 'Design' show, with some beautiful work around us - lots of jewellery and ceramics but also a fair mix of furniture, clothing and mixed media work. Only the second year for this show and definitely building an audience with many people travelling for several hours to attend. Maybe not quite a succesful as we would have hoped, but lots of interest in our less expensive work made it a good show for the Otter. I guess that in flat-lining economy we should be pretty pleased with ourselves (smugness creeping in here....). One more show and then we can take a breather!
